Jerry's realistic drawings are acheived through a crosshatch technique...by using small lines/dashes to simulate varying degrees of light or shading. In a drawing the lines/dashes are applied one at a time using a rapidograph pen. This type of pen lets the artist choose different points (line sizes), that the drawing needs to get the degree of detail needed. Most of the drawings seen here take between 100 to 150 hours to complete. The original artwork is then taken to a printing company and a limited number of prints are made. Jerry's artwork has been published in numerous publications including Road and Track and Car and Driver.
